Have you heard about the unique offer from the USPS? The 2011 Mobile Barcode Promotion was announced by Patrick Donohoe, Postmaster General, in his opening speech at the National Postal Forum last month.
Recent data has shown that consumer awareness of QR Codes is on the rise. According to MGH's QR Code Usage and Interest Survey:
● 65% of people have seen a QR code.
● Of these, 49% have scanned them.
● 87% scanned a QR Code to get a coupon, discount or deal

landing pages. To build awareness around integrating mobile technology into direct mail communications, the USPS has announced the 2011 Mobile Barcode Promotion. This promotion, which runs from July 1, 2011 through August 31, 2011; provides business mailers with an upfront 3% discount on Standard and First-Class mail letters, flats and cards that include a two-dimensional barcode that can be read or scanned by a smartphone.
